GAMMA LAMBDA

APO AT CLEMSON UNIVERSITY

OUR CHAPTER

The Gamma Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was founded in 1940, and we are the second oldest organization at Clemson University. We strive to live by the ideals set forth by our national founder, Frank Reed Horton, and we place high value in Alpha Phi Omega’s motto, “Be a Leader, Be a Friend, Be of Service.”

STRUCTURE & PLEDGING PROCESS

Our chapter is led by an Executive Committee of eleven members that are elected each semester. Each executive member is responsible for one area of the fraternity; current executive members can be found under the “Leadership” tab.

When joining, pledges complete a semester-long process centered around learning about the chapter, the brothers, and what makes Alpha Phi Omega a great organization. Throughout this process, pledges will take a series of exams on knowledge about APO and Gamma Lambda, interview the brothers of the chapter and become well acquainted with as many of them as possible, and participate in our service projects as if they were an active member--all leading up to their eventual membership in the fraternity!
